Stop, Drop and Give me Three!

There is a something that happens to us spiritually, physically and emotionally when we take a moment to appreciate the goodness in our lives. Things may be firing on all cylinders for you right now or you may be facing some significant challenges today in your marriage, your job, your finances, or in a certain relationship however I think we can all agree, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for.

Take the challenge. Stop and drop what you’re doing right now and fire off three things that you’re super grateful for. After you write them down (or better yet, share them here on Recalibr8), thank God for His provision, ask Him for help in the areas you’re struggling and then extend your gratitude with one loving act toward someone in your life. (i.e., send an encouraging text, call an old friend or family member to say hello, buy flowers for your wife just because, give to a charity, etc…)

I expect that after you do this, you will feel more connected to God; you’ll have a better sense of physical well-being and you’ll enjoy a greater sense of happiness and positivity throughout your day!

Verses to Consider:

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him”. - Colossians 3:17 (NIV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” - Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Let’s go get it!
