Why the number “8” in RECALIBR8?

The number eight is significant because in the Bible, the number eight represents new beginnings.  It represents resurrection and life out of death.  It denotes something apart from just attaining perfection (which is represented by the number seven). Jesus was perfect but he makes all things "new".  The message of RECALIBR8 is that we as men recognize that we are broken and constantly in need of His love and grace to sustain us, heal us, transform us, forgive us and mature us into the men that we all desire to be.  Only HE can "recalibrate" our hearts and give us new and fresh "beginnings".

Ephesians 4:22-24 – “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds;  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. - Ephesians 4:22-24 (NIV)
